Experience

Amanda Lambert is a geriatric care manager and consultant with over 20 years of experience working in mental health, home health, guardianship and care management. She is co-author of three books on aging the last two, Choose Your Place: Rethinking Home as You Age (2020) and Aging with Care: Your Guide to Hiring and Managing Caregivers at Home (2018). She and her co-author have been interviewed numerous times and done podcasts with Sandra Beck of Beck Multimedia and Leigh Richardson of Brain Performance Center.

Long-term care planning

As part of her consultation work, Amanda helps families plan for the future by providing a comprehensive assessment. This assessment includes a home safety evaluation, financial overview of care, client needs, strengths, and desires. In addition to working with families, she also provides consultation services to the court system.

Care management

Amanda works with clients and their families as they navigate the health care and senior living environment. She coordinates communication between healthcare providers and acts as an advocate for her clients. Amanda makes referrals to home care, home health, and hospice companies and ensures that they are meeting her client's needs.

Writing

In addition to the publication of books, Amanda writes for several companies on subjects such as home care, home accessibility, and healthy aging. Her subjects cover a wide range of subjects from chronic disease management, veterans benefits, aging in place, hormone replacement, and much more.
