Experience

Erika has worked with families and individuals in a variety of therapy settings, including in-home treatment, outpatient counseling, and emergency assessment. When her two oldest daughters were young, Erika also experienced postpartum depression and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. This experience was the catalyst for Erika’s freelance writing career. Since then she's written content for PsychCentral, Greenbrook TMS, The Recovery Village, and several other mental health companies.

As a counselor, Erika worked with people from all walks of life. Grief and loss can strike at any time, and it's not always about death. Going through life changes always represents some level of loss as well as growth.

Administrative Support for a Church

Working at the front desk of a church meant involvement with funeral services. Connecting personally with the families helped the pastors create a compassionate experience for everyone.
