About Going with Grace and the End of Life Training Program

Alua Arthur is a death doula, attorney, adjunct professor, and founder of Going with Grace. Their mission is to provide end-of-life support to both people who wish to die gracefully and family members responsible for handling affairs after a loved one's passing.

The Going with Grace End of Life Training Program is a comprehensive, 12 module online program that teaches the emotional, practical, legal, and spiritual aspects of death care. Through this program, Going with Grace has trained over a thousand death doulas from 17 countries. Students will be prepared to take the National End-of-Life Doula (NEDA) proficiency assessment — graduates of the program have a 100% pass rate.

Program Testimonials

"Such a wealth of wisdom, personal growth, cultural awareness, and a nurturing space to open up your heart while learning important skills for life, death & everything in-between.  Alua and her colleagues are gifted listeners and ambassadors of death education.  Authenticity and integrity shine through every aspect of the course.  Highly recommend regardless of if you want to make this work a professional endeavor." - Joslyn, EOLT Group Aug 2020

"This course has deepened my experience of being alive, expanded notions I already had around the experience of dying, and connected me to an amazing and supportive cohort that enjoys exploring ideas together. I feel like I'm a better person for having studied this course. Thank you." - Courtney, EOLT Group Aug 2020
