Children are gifts, and sometimes they're gone too soon. If you've lost a child in your life, this is the ultimate tragedy. Finding a path through this heartbreak is difficult.
The loss of a child is devastating and life-changing. Parental bereavement is something nobody should ever have to experience, and this grief is often felt by all. During the earliest stages of grief, it's normal to experience numbness and lasting pain. Over time, parents lean on their support system to build a path through this grief, discovering ways to honor their child's life and memory.

The death of a child is an acute, unique loss that's hard to understand if you've never experienced it yourself. That being said, there are still many ways to help a loved one who lost a child. Regardless of the age of the child, this type of pain is something that will never truly heal. You can offer your unyielding support and compassion to be there when they need it most.
