How do I upload a document to my Cake account?

Updated

Cake allows you to upload existing files to your Cake account so you can store all your plans and important documents securely in one place.

  • Log in to your Cake account

  • Navigate to the Documents section

  • Click on the “Upload Document” button

  • On the following screen, you can 1) Drag files from your desktop into the box to upload them or 2) Click in the same box to "Browse your computer” for the file in a specific folder on your computer (or a folder on your phone).

    • Please note: the maximum file size for uploads is 30MB. Only document files (PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF, XLS, XLSX, ZIP) and image files (JPG, GIF, PNG) are allowed.

  • Select a “Document type” from the dropdown

  • If desired, update the “Document name"

  • If desired, add a Note to provide further information about your document (e.g. The original hard copy of this document is stored in my filing cabinet)

  • Click “Save

  • When the file is done uploading (you should see a “File uploaded” message), click “Close

You can manage, view, and print any files you upload in the Documents section.
