How to Cancel a Deceased Loved One’s Noom Account

Canceling a deceased loved one’s Noom account is as simple as canceling a personal account. Just follow the steps below.

Step 1: Collect documentation

Before contacting Noom, you’ll need to have a copy of your loved one’s death certificate on hand. This is to send in so they can verify that the account can be closed.

Getting a death certificate is simple and can be done online. If you’re responsible for carrying out executor duties, it’s a good idea to obtain several copies at one time. There are many things to do when someone dies, and most of them require documentation such as a death certificate to carry out account closures and other related tasks.

Step 2: Gather account information

It’s helpful to have as much information as possible about your loved one’s account before you call in. This includes things like:

  • The billing address associated with the account
  • The last four of the credit card on file
  • The email address on the account
  • The name on the account

If you have a hard time locating these types of items, try looking in old emails or through their password manager if they used one.

Step 3: Contact customer service

Noom customer service can be reached at 888-266-5071 from 7 am to 10 pm eastern time. Their customer service team is excellent, and you shouldn’t have to wait very long before talking with a representative.

After you’ve been directed to the correct department, the representative will ask you for information relating to their account. Provide as much info as you can to help expedite the process of locating the account.

The representative will look up your loved one’s information and confirm that they can close the account by asking you to submit a copy of their death certificate. Once this is completed, the account will be closed and payments will stop.

Step 4: Update records

Be sure to update your loved one’s records to show that their Noom account was closed and on what date. Keep confirmation records from Noom in case any charges show up after you’ve canceled.

Step 5: Monitor credit statements

It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on credit statements for a month or two after account closures. Watch statements to make sure cancellation took effect and to watch out for fraudulent activity.

If a charge is put through, call Noom customer service to get it reversed. If the charge is due to fraud, call the credit card company and request removal of the charge due to fraudulent activity.
