Posts about “Palliative care”

Palliative care is a type of end of life care. For those suffering from illnesses that aren’t curable, palliative care allows the patient as much comfort as possible. Palliative care includes pain management as well as psychological support. Unlike hospice care, which only begins once treatment ends, palliative care can begin at any stage after diagnosis. Most healthcare professionals include this type of care as part of the long-term treatment of severe diseases and illnesses.
